About Pokémon Wordle
Pokédle is a free daily Pokémon Wordle game. One mystery Pokémon per day from all 9 generations (1025 species). Type a guess and the grid compares 8 traits — types, generation, color, evolution stage, height, weight and habitat — with arrows pointing higher or lower. Everyone worldwide plays the same puzzle, refreshed at midnight UTC.
How to play
- Type any Pokémon name — the search covers all 1025 species and understands every supported language.
- Read the colors: green = exact match, yellow = partial match (the type is on the answer but in the other slot), gray = wrong. Arrows on numbers point toward the answer: ▲ means higher, ▼ means lower.
- Cross-reference the clues and narrow the field with every guess. Tries are unlimited, and a free hint row — a well-known Pokémon that is never the answer — is revealed every day.
The 8 traits explained
- Type 1 — Primary type — every Pokémon has one (Fire, Water, Grass…). Yellow means the answer has this type in its secondary slot.
- Type 2 — Secondary type — shown as “—” for single-type Pokémon. Yellow means the answer has this type as its primary.
- Gen — The game generation (I–IX) the Pokémon debuted in — arrows tell you to look earlier or later.
- Color — Official Pokédex color category. It can surprise you — Abra counts as brown, Gengar as purple.
- Evo stage — Position in the evolution line: 1 = base form, 2 = first evolution, 3 = final stage.
- Height — Height in meters, from the official Pokédex. ▲ means the answer is taller than your guess.
- Weight — Weight in kilograms. A big clue for telling apart look-alike evolution lines.
- Habitat — Where the Pokémon lives (forest, sea, cave…). Known mainly for the first generations — “—” when unknown, and “—” matches “—”.
FAQ
How do I play Pokémon Wordle?
Type any Pokémon name and submit. Green cells match the secret Pokémon, yellow is a partial match (e.g. the type is in the other slot), gray is wrong. Arrows on numbers point toward the answer. Keep narrowing until you find it — unlimited guesses.
Is there a new Pokémon every day?
Yes — a new mystery Pokémon every day at midnight UTC, the same for every player worldwide. Come back daily to keep your XP growing.
Which Pokémon can be the answer?
All 1025 species from Generation I to IX (national Pokédex). Regional forms and megas are not used as answers.
What do the ▲ and ▼ arrows mean?
They appear on numeric traits (generation, evolution stage, height, weight). ▲ means the mystery Pokémon has a higher value than your guess; ▼ means lower. Example: you guess Pikachu (0.4m) and see ▲ — the answer is taller than 0.4m.
Do I earn XP and levels for winning?
Yes. Each daily win is verified by the server and grants trainer XP on the same account you use for Pokémon Connections — fewer tries means more XP. Your trainer level counts toward the site-wide Level leaderboard.
